Evidence Based Assessment Tools

Comprehensive Autism assessment includes:

-ADOS- 2 observational assessment tool - designed to assess social-communication and interaction, and restricted/repetitive interests and behaviours

~ 1.5 hours ~

- Parent Interview - comprehensive history about your child's social-communication and interaction, and behaviour

~ 1.5 - 2 hours ~

- Questionnaires such as the:

ABAS-3 (adaptive behaviour assessment system) or 

SRS-2 (Social responsiveness scales)

~ at home 1 hour ~

- Feedback session - detailed report and feedback session to discuss results and recommendations

Comprehensive Cognitive assessment includes:

- Face to face initial interview with parents before assessment battery 

~ 30 minutes ~

- Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V) (for children aged 6 to 16 years)

and/or 

~ 2 hours ~

Wechsler Individual Achievement Test – Second Edition (WIAT-III), (for children aged 4 to 19 years and 11 months)

~ 2 hours ~

- Screeners if needed

- Feedback session - detailed report and feedback session to discuss results and recommendations

~ 1 hour ~

- Face to face initial interview with parents before assessment battery 

~ 30 minutes ~

- Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V) (for children aged 6 to 16 years)

and/or 

~ 2 hours ~

Wechsler Individual Achievement Test – Second Edition (WIAT-III), (for children aged 4 to 19 years and 11 months)

~ 2 hours ~

- Conners-3 Assessment 

Take home questionnaire to be returned for scoring.

- Feedback session - detailed report and feedback session to discuss results and recommendations
